Dr. MB Edmunds is the founder and Chief Learning Officer of Edmunds Out Enterprises, an educational consulting firm, designed to support teachers, leaders, and school districts in their quest to improve teaching and learning. Dr. Edmunds helps school leaders develop individualized programs to meet their specific professional development needs.
An experienced teacher, principal and central office director, Dr. Edmunds’ career spans over 40 years, from pre-k through graduate school. She earned degrees in English, Reading and Administration as well as a doctorate in Educational Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall University. Her dissertation won Seton Hall’s prestigious Petersheim Academic Award for outstanding achievement. In 2021, her elementary school was ranked #10 out of 1600 K-8 schools in New Jersey according to US News and World Reports.
Dr. Edmunds is highly skilled in curriculum, instruction, assessment, strategic planning, and talent management. Over the course of her career, she developed large scale initiatives for over 1000 staff members, including but not limited to, technology, lesson study, inclusion, and backwards design curriculum planning. She takes great pride in the aspiring administrators and novice teachers that she has mentored.
Dr. Edmunds is also the creator and host of the #EdmundsOut video series on social media platforms. She is an active educational vlogger sharing her musings in order to inform and entertain. In addition, her podcasts include a variety of guests that speak out on topics of interest. A published author of numerous articles, she most recently contributed to a book entitled Things I Wish I … Knew.
Lastly, Dr. Edmunds volunteers on behalf of children and adults with autism. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Eden Autism Services, chairing their Committee on Aging and Medical Needs. She also chairs their annual gala entitled Eden Dreams, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to support Eden’s mission.
